Aserah

A goddess of love of the Semitic Amorites, and the great mother goddess of Canaan.  She is identified with the Phoenician goddess Astarte,  and in the Ras Shamra texts, she is described as the consort of El (the supreme god) and also as the "creatress of the gods".   She was worshipped from pre-historic times until circa A.D. 400 and was linked to Pagan fertility rites.
